I’m Sharmaine, a boudoir and portrait photographer based in Oldham with over 2,000 sessions of experience. Unlike most boudoir photographers, I don’t just work from a studio. I come to you — your home, your hotel room, a location that means something to you — or you come to me at 1853 Studios in Oldham. Your session, your way.

And here’s what really sets this apart: you see your images the same day. While you’re still glowing, still feeling it — not days later when the moment has faded. You leave knowing exactly what you’ve got.

Most photographers offer one option. I offer three — because your comfort is everything.

What Actually Happens on the Day

We start with a proper conversation. Not a quick hello — an actual chat about how you want to feel, what you’d love to see, and any worries you want to put to rest before we pick up a camera. This is where most clients start to relax.

I shoot tethered — you can see your images on screen as we go. No guessing, no waiting, no anxiety about what you look like. Most women are genuinely emotional when they see themselves. In the best possible way.

Then comes the same-day reveal. You see your images the same day as your shoot — while you’re still glowing, still in that feeling. Not a week later when the moment has completely faded. You’ll know exactly what you’re getting before you leave, and you can choose your prints, album or wall art right there and then.

My background is in visual journalism and documentary photography — which means I tell your story, not just take your photograph. The nervous laugh before we start, the moment you see yourself on screen and everything changes. If you want a short video reel alongside your photos, I can do that too.

Hair & Makeup

You have three options — whatever works for you.

Do your own — if you know your look and you’re comfortable with it, come camera-ready.

Bring your own MUA — if you have someone you already trust, bring them along.

I’ll find one for you — I work with professional makeup artists in the Oldham and Manchester area. I can arrange a recommended MUA as part of your booking at an additional cost. You arrive, get pampered, and we shoot. The whole day handled for you.

What to Bring

2–3 outfit options — lingerie, a silk robe, a bodysuit, an oversized shirt, whatever makes you feel like you. Any meaningful props. Your favourite playlist if you want it in the background. And an open mind — that’s the most important thing you’ll bring.

Every session includes a pre-shoot consultation, tethered live preview, and same-day image reveal.
A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required to secure your booking.
