Oldham Peace and Justice and Manchester Palestine Action have weekly protests and vigils outside Elbit Systems Oldham. Elbit Systems Oldham (formerly Ferranti) is owned by an Israel-based international defense electronics company engaged in a wide range of defense, homeland security and commercial programs.
Joined by residents of Oldham and many other groups and people from all across the country for a number of years, hold vigils weekly in protest against the production of parts for weapons produced at the factory.

In addition to the protests outside Elbit Systems on 6th June 2021 Oldham Town centre was host to a huge protest starting in Parliament Square. The Protest was to stand in solidarity with the oppressed and against the human rights violations in Palestine.
